Kim Youngman was born in Hwasun, Jeonnam in 1949 and graduated from Dept. of Fine Arts,
Chosun University with a thesis on a study on Korean traditional woodcuts. He took part in many
group exhibitions including Woodcut Works Exhibition with the title of Aspiration for Unification at
DMZ, National Art Exhibition, Woodcut Exhibition with the title of Way to Home, Our Sky and Our
Land Exhibition, Source of Life Exhibition, Today of Korean Woodcut Exhibition, Gwangju in May Print Exhibition, Korean Unification Art Exhibition, Life·Sharing Exhibition, and Answering the 5·18, Its Call - Candle Revolution and the Bill of Peace Exhibition. He lives in his hometown working on woodcuts, watercolor paintings, and natural dyeing.
