Browse artworksThere are two ways you can browse artworks: (a) online exhibitions where curated artworks are displayed in a gallery-like setting; (b) listings of all artworks. We suggest you browse and explore the exhibitions first, then search the listings of artworks by artist name, upload date, popularity, or price, as you like. |

Visit the artwork pageOnce you have found an artwork you like, click on the image of it to visit the artwork page and look at it in closer detail (‘magnifying glass view’ and ‘view-in-a-room’). To buy an original artwork: click on the ‘ORIGINAL’ tab (if the ‘ORIGINAL’ tab is not activated, the original artwork is unavailable for sale), then click on the ‘ADD TO CART’ button. Or, if you want to buy a print: click on the ‘PRINTS’ tab (if the ‘PRINTS’ tab is not activated, prints are unavailable for that artwork) and choose options for print size, print base, frame and mat. Once you are done, click on the ‘ADD TO CART’ button. |

Check your orderFill in the billing address and the shipping address (You only have to do this for your first buy unless you change your address), then check the sale price, the shipping charge and the total price. For an original artwork, the shipping charge will appear as ‘TBC’ (To Be Confirmed). If you’re happy with your order, click on the ‘ORDER NOW’ button. For a print, on the other hand, the shipping charge is already set and you just need to click on the ‘PAY NOW’ button. |

Complete your payment via PayPalIf your order is a print, complete your payment via PayPal. It will usually be shipped in 3 – 5 working days. If your order is an original artwork, we will get back to you with the shipping charge within 7 days which you may agree or disagree to pay (See Introduction). |

ReturnsYou have 7 days from the date of delivery to decide whether to keep or return a purchased artwork. If you decide to return the artwork, you should let us know via our Contact Us form (https://www.artris.com/support/contactus). You should not ship out the artwork before we advise you to do so. If the return is in its original condition, you will be fully refunded for the sale price of the artwork. Please note that ARTRIS does not reimburse outgoing or return shipping charges unless the return is due to a defect in quality. |

Photograph your artworksUsing a decent digital camera and lightings, take high quality photographs of your artworks without any front glass or acrylic sheet. It is better to take a few additional photographs to show certain parts of you artwork in detail or the frame (if included in your sale). If you are not properly equipped to ensure quality of your images of artworks, we strongly recommend you have a professional photographer to take photographs of your artworks. Please note that SMARTPHONE CAMERAS ARE NO GOOD for this kind of work as they have a small built-in lens that is vastly inferior to a proper camera lens.
Each of your images must be: (i) a JPEG file, (ii) at least 4,000 pixels of resolution on the long-side, (iii) less than 50MB in size.
Note that our sales commission for an original artwork is determined according to the resolution of the image you upload:

Upload images of your artworksUpload images of your original artworks by clicking on the ‘+’ button under the Artworks tab in your portfolio. For each of the uploaded images, you need to: (i) add details including title, keywords, description, category, medium, base, style, subject, year of creation, and dimensions; (ii) decide whether to sell original, prints or both; (iii) decide whether to allow other members to put your artwork in their exhibitions. |

Price your artworksYou need to set a sale price for each of your original artworks. Appropriate pricing is critical to selling your artworks and therefore it is very important to adopt consistent, reasonable pricing principles. As a rough guide, take into account: (i) total number of hours you spent on the artwork, (ii) your hourly wage, and (iii) material costs. In order to sell prints of your artworks, you also need to set a license fee for each print size of your artworks. To set a reasonable license fee, consider the sale price of the original artwork (higher sale price, higher license fee) and the size of prints (larger print size, higher license fee). |

Promote salesPromote sales by hosting online exhibitions to expose your artworks to numerous members and visitors of ARTRIS from all over the world. Collectors are much more likely to see your artworks this way than if they were only in the listings. Another tip to maximize exposure is to share links of your portfolio, online exhibitions, and recently uploaded artworks on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. |

Receive the paymentIf one of your original artworks is sold, ARTRIS will credit your PayPal account with an amount equivalent to the total price (the sale price plus the shipping charge) less PayPal payment processing fee (4.4% of the total price plus $0.30 USD), ARTRIS sales commission (0% - 8% of the sale price), Curator’s sales commission (20% of the sale price, if the sale was made in an exhibition), and any applicable tax. If a print of your artwork is sold, ARTRIS will credit your PayPal account with an amount equivalent to the license fee you had set for the artwork less any applicable tax. The sales credit will be released after the sold artwork has been delivered to the collector and the 7-day return period has expired. |

Pay taxFor your income from sales of original artworks, consult with the appropriate taxing authority in your country and pay any applicable tax. For your income from sales of prints, if you provide a complete Tax Form No. 29-12 (on your Account page), a reduced tax rate under the relevant tax treaty between South Korea and your country may be applied to your license fee income. Otherwise, ARTRIS may withhold at the maximum Tax Rate. |
